Why Doesnt My Garrison Continue to Not Be Attacked Every Week
After three and a half seasons leading the Garrison Regiment through multiple intelligent Titan assaults and a military coup, Dot Pyxis was awarded the title of Commander-in-Chief after Dhalis Zachary's assassination. Pyxis may not have the kill count that Eren, Mikasa, or Levi have, but he has proven capable of leading humanity toward a bright future without corrupting his own character.
Pyxis' pedigree and the Battle for Trost prove that the Garrison Regiment is more than capable of holding its own in a battle against the Titans. Though most of AoT's screentime is used to show the Scout Regiment adding to their kill count, the Garrison shouldn't be overlooked. The list below references the Battle of Trost and the rest ofAoT to find out which member of the Garrison Regiment has the most kills.
10/10 Anka Is Trusted With Escorting Dot Pyxis Despite Failing To Claim Any On-screen Kills
Anka Rheinberger's strengths lie in the realm of strategy, but it should be noted that she is one of the few members of the Garrison Regiment trusted as a personal escort to Dot Pyxis.
Considering the vast number of coups and rebellions that take place throughoutAttack on Titan, it would come as no surprise if Anka has been forced to take a life in order to protect Commander Pyxis. Of course, this is pure speculation, but if Anka is trusted with the life of the Garrison Regiments commander it is safe to assume that she has proven her worth in battle.
9/10 Gustav Kills Lord Wald's Ego Before Joining Eren & Mikasa In Trost District
Gustav may never take the life of a Titan or human on screen, but he earned his spot as Dot Pyxis' personal escort for a reason. Gustav may be one of the sole survivors of the attack on Shiganshina District or perhaps Dot Pyxis just likes his company.
Either way, Gustav should be credited with the killer one-liner he throws at Lord Wald when he, Anka, and Pyxis are called to the defense of Wall Rose. This comment didn't literally kill Lord Wald, but it surely sent him spiraling into the ego death he so desperately needed.
8/10 Hannes Gets Himself Killed, But Not Before Fighting His Way To The Front Lines
Hannes may be set up as a father figure to Eren Yeager after Grisha disappears, but that doesn't mean he is as capable of murder as the young sociopath. When Hannes joins the Scout Regiment on their pursuit of the Armored and Colossal Titans, he proves that he has mastered the use of ODM gear since his time guarding the walls of Shiganshina.
Though fans will primarily remember the gruesome death that befell Hannes when he tried to take on the Smiling Titan, it goes without saying that Hannes took down a few Titans on his way to save Eren and Mikasa from the Smiling Titan.
7/10 Mitabi Janarch Takes Down A Few Titans Off-screen Before Giving His Own Life To Protect Eren
Alongside Rico Brzenska and Ian Dietrich, Mitabi is one of the strongest members of the entire Garrison Regiment. During the Battle of Trost District Arc Mitabi is chosen alongside Rico and Ian to help Eren seal the hole created by the Colossal Titan.
The Garrison Regiment is well known for its inexperience in battle, but that doesn't mean every member is too weak to hold their own against the Titans. While tasked with defending Eren, Mitabi lays down his life, but not before taking down a few Titans off-screen to clear a path for the Attack Titan.
6/10 Rico Brzenska Earned Her Spot On The Garrison Regiments Elite Squad By Proving Her Strength With ODM Gear
Rico is credited as one of the most elite members of the Garrison Regiment despite never delivering the killing blow to an enemy Titan or human on-screen throughout the entire runtime ofAttack on Titan. Still, Rico should be credited with the work it takes to work up to the top of the Garrison Regiment.
Not only is Rico stationed beside Kitz Woermann when the cowardly captain ordered Eren's execution by cannon fire, but she is also assigned to the elite Garrison squad tasked with protecting the Attack Titan during the mission to reclaim Trost. Fans won't get to see Rico take down Titans on-screen, but it can be assumed that she was able to defend Eren from at least a couple of Titans during the battle.
5/10 Daz Has Survived Much Too Long To Avoid Killing A Handful Of Humans & Titans
Daz is one of the few cadets from the 104th that is still alive in the current season of Attack on Titan. This is largely due to the fact that he was forced to overcome his fear of Titans during the Battle for Trost District.
Having survived both the Battle for Trost and the Attack on Liberio, Daz's kill count has to be high, even if each of his skills happened off-screen.
4/10 Lobov Takes The Lives Of Marleyan's Before Being Shot Down By Gabi
After leaving the Garrison Regiment to join the Scouts, Lobov followed the rest of the Scout Regiment into Marley. Though Lobov never notches a kill on-screen, his willingness to put his life on the line in order to protect the Scouts during their retreat proves that he is not scared to pull the trigger.
If only Lobov hadn't hesitated when he saw Gabi aiming a gun at his head. Perhaps then he would have an on-screen kill and fans wouldn't have had to deal with Gabi outside of the raid on Liberio.
3/10 Ian Dietrich Has One Confirmed Titan Kill To His Name, But On-screen Kills Are Not All That Count
Ian Dietrich may not get a lot of time in the limelight, but it is clear that he was at one point one of the strongest members of the Garrison Regiment. After the Colossal Titan attacks Trost, Dot Pyxis makes it clear that Dietrich has a history of proving his strength in battle when he gives the young member of the Garrison Regiment leadership of the Elite Garrison Squad.
Unfortunately, Dietrich doesn't make it out of the Battle of Trost with his life, so fans searching for more from the most elite member of the Garrison Squad will just have to re-watch the Battle of Trost District Arc.
2/10 Floch Steals Countless Human Lives During The Attack On Liberio
Floch has become the poster boy for the Yeagerists in season 4 ofAttack on Titan, but prior to this, he murdered countless innocent lives during the attack on Liberio in order to prove his similarity to Eren.
Few will forget the conversation between Jean and Floch during the attack on Liberio. While Jean values human life, Floch sees the lives of the Eldians in Marley as nothing but a means to an end. With Eren as his idol, it is no wonder Floch's definition of justice is so skewed. Perhaps Eren's Omnicide will force Floch to reconsider his position, but if his prior actions say anything about him, it is unlikely he will ever have a change of heart.
1/10 Dot Pyxis Accepts The Responsibility For Sparing Eren's Life During The Battle For Trost
Dot Pyxis is never seen killing a Titan or a human on-screen in the entire four seasons ofAttack on Titan, but his actions have resulted in countless innocent lives being taken by Eren Yeager. It is fair to assume that a number of innocent lives would also have been taken from inside the walls of Paradis if Pyxis hadn't stood up for Eren during the Battle for Trost, but the current Commander in Chief cannot be held accountable for the actions of Bertholdt and Reiner.
The only reason Dot Pyxis is held responsible for Eren's actions is that he verbally takes responsibility for Eren's actions during the Battle for Trost. It may not be fair to blame Pyxis for Eren's actions after this battle, but if Pyxis hadn't felt the need to "defeat" the Titans at Trost, billions of lives could have been spared.
